04.20 Music & Love

Hello my faithful two readers.  It's great to have join me again for rantings and ramblings from yours truly.  I know seem to jump all over the place with my blog and I guess that is because I have a lot to say about many things that interest me.  I like movies, celebrities, men, music, television, travel, and so on.  This week I want to focus on music and my endless desire to find close intimate love.  Open a bottle of Merlot, pour yourself a glass (or three) and let's begin.

I am the type of guy that can fall in love very easily.  I trust people sometimes too quick.  I give them my heart because of a gut feeling I have.  Most of the time I do not regret it.  However, every now and then I do or I don't trust my gut and either give it to the wrong person or don't give it at all and miss the opportunity.

I also suffer from a very small confidence level.  I hate rejection and because I can't handle it I end up rejecting myself without giving the other person a chance to accept me.  I guess this is defense mechanism, but it really only succeeds in making sure I will be alone and single.

I know a lot of people are like what is wrong with being single.  I guess there is nothing wrong with it.  I'm just tired of coming home to an empty apartment.  I wish someone was here to have dinner together, to lie in bed a watch a scary movie together or just talk.  Which leads to me to my first song of the blog?

All By Myself - Celine Dion

I have fallen in love many times.  I really only had one relationship that ever flourished into anything of some value.  His name was Kenny and I met him Florida.  It was the first time in my life that I had ever seen someone and fell in love in a glance.  It was very odd for me because I had had crushes on classmates and friends and the occasional tryst, but I had never felt my heart stop as it did when I first met him.

He was this rocker looking guy from Brooklyn.  He was a definite bad boy.  He had a horrible childhood and parents.  He had a horrible misunderstood life with a mean ex-wife, ungrateful kids, prison history, medical issues and recovering drug addict.  Everything he was was everything I wasn't.  He needed love and tenderness.  I thought I could give it to him.

I found out after close to seven years that apparently he didn't want any of that from me.  He left me for red headed stripper he met on the Internet.  I was devastated.  I was embarrassed.  I was starting to make a big deal with my family that this was my life partner and he should be welcomed to family events and then he ups and leaves me for Candy Dandy the Stripper.  Almost the exact time the next song came out and it was my mantra.

Strong Enough - Cher

After Kenny, I went quite a while without having anyone really too mention.  I was in and out of love/lust.  Things could have progressed with several men but because of my baggage or their baggage it did not happen.  However two men come to mind that got away for different reasons.  They were both friends and at one time I knew them when they were single, but they both found partners.  I could either become the other person or not.  I choose not to do disrespect myself or them by walking or attempting to walk that path.

One was another rocker with long hair, smooth skin and a beautiful smile which I will call Jake.  The other was a fun, friendly, masculine guy named Wayne.  Both names of course are made up.  Wayne was my best friend and Jake was an occasional lover.  I wanted more from both of them, but they are either were unable or unwilling to give me the love I so desired.

Even though it hurt, I guess it was best that neither of them gave what I needed, because if they had my life would be different.  Would I have continued to the job and career I currently have?  Would I be living in Costa Rica and traveling Central America?  However, I still think if them fondly which brings me to my next song.

I Hate Myself For Loving You

I've moved to Costa Rica in July of this year.  I have been currently on this attempt to change my life.  I'm losing weight for health reasons.  I'm traveling because I've always wanted to do it.  I've changed my outlook at life and seriously have been happier than I ever have been before.  I want to share this with someone.  I decided to seriously search and look for a partner.  My thinking was maybe the men from the U.S. were my problem.

I signed up with six different dating applications and posted my profile.  I got a ton of replies at first and I thought I had really hit the mother load.  I met a few of them and quickly realized they were no different then the losers I had encountered in the U.S.  They were either young and looking for someone to pay their way through life or they were just really odd and into to things I wouldn't have my worst enemy do or they were just interested in sex and nothing more.

I am currently trying to get to know three different guys.  Will some of them read this blog?  Yes, they probably will.  I'm not that concerned because we have never had a discussion about being exclusive and I barely see any of them.  They are all younger than I am which is a bonus for me in my forties.  It strengthens my confidence and strokes my ego. See gay men and straight men think the same way.  We get middle aged and we want someone younger.

Two are very much younger and their names are Andrew and Owen.  Andrew is very immature but shares similar interests with me.  However, he is very much in the closet and his family is very religious.  I feel sorry for him because he has to hide himself and I know how that is and I enjoy being around him because we have fun.  The other young one is more mature but shares almost no interests me and loves to push my
buttons.  I enjoy going places with him because for the most part he enjoys being a tourist with me.  However, oddly enough neither young man shows passion in a relationship with me.  It is more like friends. Which leads us to our next song.

Whenever I Call You Friend - Kenny Loggins & Stevie Nicks

The last guy (Jonathan), I recently met and it was almost perfect.  He was closer to my age but still younger. We had similar interest and he wanted a relationship.  He was also passionate about being with me and getting to know me. We talked over the phone and text several times.  We finally met and I fell in love.  I tried not to fall in love.  I really tried to harness my emotions.  However, he was Cancer and I am Scorpio.  I had no choice but fall hopelessly in love.  I was either like a middle school girl or a lesbian because I was ready to pick out china patterns.

We've chatted since that time, but have not seen each other since.  I held off on texting him too early after our first official date, because I didn't want to seem to desperate.  It took him a day to respond.  I stated I wanted to see him again and have gotten no response.  I don't know what happened.  Maybe I am reading too much into it.  Maybe I am trying to move to fast.  Maybe I misread the signals.  Maybe he was just telling me what I wanted to hear.  The horrible thing about Jonathan is that he is the most passionate made I have met here in Costa Rica.  He made me feel wanted, needed, appreciated and desired.  Something no one else has accomplished yet.  Even though I want it to continue, I must face reality that it probably won't continue with him and if it does, I'm not sure it will be the eventual marriage that I am looking to have. This leads me to my two favorite songs at the moment.

Say Something

Stay With Me - Sam Smith

There's the look into my life and what I am thinking about tonight.  Am I destined to be alone with just one night stands in my future?  Can I build a life with someone who shows no passion?  Do I run them off?  Am I too picky?  What am I doing wrong?  The good thing about being a Scorpio is that we love to analyze ourselves and the people in our life.  The bad thing about being a Scorpio is that we tend to over analyze to the point where we stunt our relationships or growth.  Oh well, no matter the outcome of my soul searching.  I will continue to search for the guy to share all the wonders and adventures that are in my future.

Alright gang until next time.  May your bartender be hot and heavy handed when pouring your drink.

Inquiring Minds, Need for Speed and Coming Out Fatigue

Hello Everyone....Sorry I didn't post a new blog last week, but I was having some technical difficulties which hampered by ability to post.  However, I am back and I have some things to discuss.  Let's cuss and discuss now.

I'm just thinking out loud.  I recently made a trip back home to Kansas City to visit family and friends.  I tried to carve out some time for some to see some friends, but it didn't happen. I don't know if I dropped the ball or they dropped the ball, but I t was quite interesting to me.  Just to see how rapidly life continues on.

I've been on my new journey in Costa Rica now for 8 months now.  Thanks to social media, I've been able to keep up with everyone.  Social Media like Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and so on have been great for allowing me to feel still connected to the people I adore and not feel homesick, which could happen when you are so far removed. I think it may have hampered my reunion with certain people when I visit.

Years ago, a friend would come into town after being gone for a while and everyone would rally around that friend to find out the details of their life since they last saw each other.  However, because of social media, we already know all the details, especially if you are like me and post everything either on Twitter, Facebook or a blog.  It leaves very little to discuss and lessens the desire to see each other.

I guess it does free up unnecessary conversation so you can concentrate on doing fun things with these individuals.  It also means you have to work harder at that relationship.  I may be reading too much into this and, because I have been back almost three times in those eight months, I may not have been gone long enough to let the grow fonder.

There are several Entertainment news shows out there in boob tube world.  I've talked about a few of the hosts and, if you have read earlier blogs, you know I am not a fan of too many of them.  Since I do love news about entertainment, I do watch some of them.  However, they drive me insane at the same time.  I know I'm in a vicious circle.  I am going to play good thing and bad thing about these shows.  Then I will give my opinion on Entertainment Tonight, E News, Access Hollywood and OMG.

1. Good Thing - They keep us up to date on television shows and movies.  Are they going to be cancelled?  What's Matt Damon's next film?  When does that new Avengers movie come out?

2. Bad Thing - They keep us up to date on celebrities personal lives.  I don't care about who they are marrying or divorcing or have in their bed.  I wouldn't be so disgusted by certain individuals if the media and paparazzi would keep some items private.  Maybe some celebrities wouldn't fallen so far off their game if the entertainment news media would have let them deal with their issues instead of giving them attention for their bad behavior.

3. Good Thing - They occasionally tell us stories about amazing individuals who may not be celebrity status but deserve the spotlight for their 15 minutes of fame.

4. Bad Thing - They keep that spotlight on some individuals too long  and create media whores because they have no talent to keep people interested and/or fund their new famous lifestyle.  You can basically name any E reality star, any person who has been on Real World, any of the Housewives of whatever county or state, so on and so forth.  Very little of these people have any entertainment talent or value.  The only reason we watch these shows is too make us feel better that our lives isn't as messed up as there lives.  That is not a reason to keep these people in the spotlight.

5. Good Thing - They keep us up to date with the tragedies in Entertainment world.  I mean the tragic deaths.  When a celebrity dies, their fan base wishes to have that knowledge so they can mourn the loss of their beloved star.

6. Bad Thing - They speculate about celebrity behavior and deaths without having facts.  They give their personal beliefs in relaying the news and spin it so they can get a reaction.  Plus the phrase "They have us talking about it', is not a good thing and doesn't mean the behavior, outfit, movie, and so on is a good or helpful for their career.

Now for a the ratings:

They get and F.  They are annoying.

The entire cast of OMG Insider should be canned, especially Michael Yo and Kevin Frazier, who both seem like they haven't a clue what they are doing and constantly make excuses for the talentless because they are apart of the group.

Access Hollywood is just plain drivel and is Fox News of the Entertainment World.  They report on their feelings and beliefs, not the story.  Billy Bush is the head of this serpent and needs to be cut off.  If that happens, the body will follow.

Entertainment Tonight is past its prime and needs to be cancelled.  It was good twenty years ago, but now it is hanging on by thread and that thread is Nancy O'Dell, which would give it a D, but then they brought Rob Marciano which brings it back to an F.

E News, finally, stopped giving airtime to the owner of the network, Ryan Seacrest.  I guess he decided the world didn't need to see him every night.  Now if we could get him to stop making reality shows that would be even better, but I digress.  Actually, they would have gotten a C because Guiliana Rancic and Terrence Jenkins.  They both give their spin on stuff which is true, but they are at least watchable.  However, they get an F as well because of the rest of the brainless so called reporters they have.  They even replaced Ryan Seacrest with his little sister, Jason Kennedy, who is just has annoying, vapid and self obsesses his big sister. Speaking of vapid, can someone explain the value of Catt Sadler in her role for E News?

The civilized world is finally understanding that equality means the same benefits, privileges and opportunities for everyone.  It is a thrilling time to be alive.  We are seeing equality in the area of marriage.  I never thought I would see it in my life time.  It is getting so prominent now that I am even thinking that marriage is an absolute possibility for me.  I just can't wait for all the wedding gifts.  I want matching china and real silverware.  I want fifteen blenders.  I want it all.  I want a bachelor party with drinks and strippers.  I want a nice tasteful wedding in "My colors are blush and bashful. I have chosen two shades of pink, one is much deeper than the other".  I want a reception with amazing food, a great bar and an awesome DJ playing music from the 70's to today.

Here is the latest in the news of marriage equality.

Oregon recognizes same sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions.
Limited recognition for same sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions has been granted in Missouri, Ohio and Colorado.

US District courts in Utah, Oklahoma, Virginia, Texas and Michigan have declared state constitutional amendments banning same sex marriage to be unconstitutional, but they are in the appeals process  as we speak.

In the US, marriage equality exists in California, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois (by June 2014),  Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington

You can also have a destination wedding if you so desire in England, Wales, Scotland, Sweden, Spain, South Africa, Portugal, Belgium, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, France, Iceland, Norway, Mexico City, New Zealand Proper and Netherlands Proper.

I am one of the many people who got to see this wonderful action packed film.  I am also one of the many people who loved playing the game.  I used to love playing racing video games Need for Speed and Midnight Club.

1st, the action driving sequences were fantastic and were not filmed just for kicks and to get the audience pumped up.  The sequences had meaning and were apart of the story.

2nd, the acting was brilliant.  Aaron Paul was brooding and cool.  Dominic Cooper was slimy and manipulative.  The supporting cast of Imogen Potts, Rami Masek, Ramon Rodrgiuez, Scott Mescudi and Harrison Gilbertson were funny, exciting and seemed like they all fit together.

3rd, the storyline was actually really good.  It was predictable, but it was well written and well performed so it really didn't matter.

It is a great fun film filled with action.  I recommend everyone to see it.

Finally I am going to end with my opinion on a matter and then a question, that truly deserves an answer.

1st, I have been reading all over social media where individuals are tired of having news outlets report on celebrities who "come out of the closet".  I'm not sure of the reason that all news outlets have to glom on to the bit and won't let it go.  However, most people are tired of the initial reporting of it and type messages like "I can't wait until things of this nature are not newsworthy anymore".

Unfortunately, you will probably not see it in your life time.  Any time a bit of news will shock someone or get a reaction out of viewers, the news programs will report it.  As long as we sects of people who vehemently preach, teach and practice intolerance and hatred, these bits will still get a reaction from viewers. Until equality exists in all sections of life (including marriage) and in all professions (including sports), celebrities coming out are important.

As a gay child which I was, I had no one to look up to or to emulate.  I knew I was different from my dad and my brothers.  I knew I was more like my mother, but I couldn't be because I had the parts of my father and brothers.  It was very confusing for me and, because of it, I buried myself in world of denial and self-loathing.  I had no role model in my community, television, film or sports.  My only reference to gay man was Jack Tripper from "Three's Company" and he was a man living a lie as a gay man, so he wouldn't get thrown out of the apartment that he shared with two single girls.  I was the opposite.  I was a gay child living a lie so I wouldn't lose my life.

Would life have been different for me if I had a role model?  I don't know, but it sure seems like it is getting better and better the more and more of us throw open those doors and say we are tired of living in the shadows and we are ready to be role models to tomorrows LGBT communities.  So I am sorry people, yes, there will be more people throwing back the curtain like the bravery of Michael Sam from Mizzou or Tom Daley, the diver from Great Britain, or Ellen Page, the amazing young actress, or Wade Davis, who's working on putting an end to homophobia in the NFL, and so on and so forth.

The only way I can really say that this might stop is if you starting throwing us coming out parties like a debutante ball, sweet sixteen or quinceanera.   Who doesn't want to be celebrated, have a party or get presents?  Don't try to cheat us by saying Gay Pride is our party.  We each want an individual one.  However, if we start doing those celebrations, can I have one that I should have had 29 years ago?  I prefer cash as a gift please and prorated if at all possible (my mother is exempt from getting me a gift).

Now my question is, does age difference really matter?  What is socially acceptable?  Does it matter what society thinks?  People look at Hugh Hefner and some think he's awesome because he's marrying these twenty year old women when he is 87.  Is that creepy, gross, cool or awesome?

Aaron Taylor-Johnson of Kick Ass 2 is married to woman 23 years older than him.  Michael Douglas is 25 years older than Catherine Zeta Jones.  Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had 16 years separating them.  Brian Austin Green of 90210 and Megan Fox are 18 years apart.  Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart have a 22 years difference. Julianne Moore has an 11 years age difference with her younger hubby. Clint Eastwood and Dina Ruiz have 36 yrs separating them.  Mariah Carey is 12 years more mature than her hubby, Nick Cannon.  I guess if it is good for Han Solo, Mimi and Dirty Harry, it should be okay with everyone else.

Until next time, May all your drinks be top shelf and heavily poured.

Divas, Divas, Divas and some Beefcake

Hello all my wonderful readers.  It is a beautiful day.  I get a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and I have my morning screwdriver so it’s time to cuss and discuss.

Diva is a word like so many that gets used way too much.  I just read an editorial article on the subject at http://edition.cnn.com/2013/10/10/opinion/granderson-diva-kanye-miley/index.html?hpt=us_mid. I have to agree with this gentlemen.  Why is the word Diva applied to such people as Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and so on and so forth?  Before you answer, I suggest you read the article.  I agree with the writer that true divas are only those that are so talented and rare that you put up with their personalities.

I believe we got away from the true form of Diva by two methods.  Like all things, mankind has to put everything in a category or box.  We can’t just say Diva and leave it at that.  I remember when I was kid there were Rock Divas and then later on Pop Divas.  We also just started equating some bad behaviors like demanding, bitchy, ungrateful etc… as Diva behavior.  We would tell people “Don’t be a Diva.” or “She’s a Diva.” because the person had those personality flaws.  When we should have been saying, “She thinks she’s a Diva” or “Don’t think you are a Diva.” or “Don’t be (whatever personality flaw they are showing)”

The truest definition before we Americans got a hold of it and twisted it to fit what we wanted was a famous female lead singer of an opera.  We have sense added a second definition as a famous and successful woman who is very attractive and fashionable; especially : an attractive and successful female performer or celebrity. The second definition is what incorporates such low or no talent as the Kardashians, Real Housewife or wherever, R&B one hit wonders, Sports Players’ wives and so on and so forth.

We all know that I am a Reality Show fan, but this writer is correct.  They are far removed from Divas.  I know another word that is similar to Diva which is Prima Donna.  I suggest we allow Diva to mean a female performer that possesses rare and extraordinary talent and we have Prima Donna keep its second definition of a vain or undisciplined person who finds it difficult to work under direction or as part of a team.

Wow that ended up longer than I expected….LOL

This brings me to Congress…You like the segue.  I am also going to include all the Facebook postings about this crap.  First has the world come to an end.  Did the United States stop functioning and now we are a different country?  Has your way of life changed?  Then we should learn not to buy into their terrorist politics about scaring the people into swaying opinion in their way so they can get more popular vote.

Yes, I agree Congress should not have shutdown the government.  It was an irresponsible thing for them to do.  If any of us behaved in such a behavior at our jobs, we would be fired.  If a business acted as they did, it would be closed.  It is as simple as that.  However, when election time comes around, we will put these same idiots in office.  So who do we blame?  An old saying says “Fool me once.  Shame on you.  Fool me twice.  Shame on me.”  We re-elect them because we believe in them.  For instance, John Boehner in no way represents me and I would never vote for the jerk, but he apparently is liked by his constituents because they re-elect him.

I don’t believe these people care what they are doing to the government.  If you don’t like a policy, you debate over that policy.  It isn’t time to debate over that policy when you could cause irreparable damage to your country.  You are not only threatening the economy by holding the government hostage because you don’t like a particular bill and in this case it is the Health Care Reform Act.  You are also making the US the laughingstock of the world and damaging our reputation just like they did when they tried to impeach President Clinton.  All they care about is that get what they want at any cost.

They need to come to an agreement over the budget and debt ceiling.  Get the government back functioning and then they can move on to debating different key points in the legislation they don’t like.  They can also debate on new legislation.

Now for those of you who don’t like the Health Care Reform Act.  I agree it isn’t the best in the world.  There are also some major things in it that need to change.  However, we need nationwide health care.  There is no way that any of our citizens should go without health care.  It is embarrassing and shameful that we have let it go this long.
I have many friends and family that work in the health care profession.  Some make really good make really good money at their profession.  They can also tell you that a lot of the expenses are over inflated because of those without health care insurance seeking treatment.  This in great part is due to the true villains in Health Care Reform.  This would be Insurance and Pharmaceutical companies.  They don’t want health care reform because it hits their bottom line very hard.

A lot of people buy into the politics around the above issues.  For example the viral postings of Congress shall not pass any law that doesn’t apply to them but applies to the American citizens.  This is not a law.  People have been posting this as a factual law on all over the place.  It is a proposed amendment to the constitution by a grassroots campaign.  It is a reaction to the idea that Congress doesn’t have to go by the Health Care Choices because the government has a really good health insurance program probably because the insurance companies give them a great deal for keeping them unregulated.  Can someone say kickback?  However, I have health insurance through my employer and I don’t have to go through the Health Care Reform Act to get my insurance unless I think I can get better coverage.  Does this make me a bad guy?
The other portions of the issue that brought around the Proposed 28th Amendment is the idea members could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws.  I laugh at the sexual harassment statement because that is an outright lie just to infuriate the public.  How many congressmen, judges and president have we held accountable for their sexual actions and harassment?  Are you kidding me with this crap?
Everyone pays into Social Security.  They also pay into Federal Employees Retirement Program at a higher rate than most federal employees. Their retirement benefits depends on their age, years of service and plan coverage, which reminds me of most retirement packages I have seen from large companies.
Now again, I don’t believe the Health Care Reform Act is completely finished.  I believe it has kinks to work out, but it is better than nothing.  I also do believe maybe a new Amendment is needed that directly affects the way Capitol Hill does business.  My personal belief is that the new Amendment should address outlawing Lobbyists all together, but I digress.  I also believe that Congress needs a swift kick in the ass.  I may hold Republicans; especially the Tea Party and Evangelical Republicans responsible for this mess, but the Democrats at times can be unreasonable as well.  It is all about compromise and what is good for the public as a “whole” which is the key word to all of this crap.

That was heavy and deep….I need another drink.  How about some fluff now?
I was amazed when people were posting that they had gotten Cher tickets.  I thought maybe they were all of sudden getting memorabilia because something had happened to Cher.  I looked it up and low and behold she’s on tour. That’s amazing and I am happy for everyone who is going to see her.  I saw her 1991 and the show was amazing.
However, I am concerned for my Cher.  She may look 40 something but she’s 67 and I don’t want anything to happen to her.  I hope she’s taking proper precautions.  I mean she spent an awful a lot of money on that face and body to damage it doing a tour.  Everyone as you are enjoying her show which I know you will, please watch out for our national treasure and make sure she doesn’t bust a hip or throw a heel.  I’m not quite sure which would be worse.

To round out the blog, here is today's beefcake pics are a few of the men from “Lost” one of my favorite shows.

Until next time, May all your drinks be mixed well and heavily poured.

October 5th

Hello all my readers and friends.  I think I may have four of you now.  I think it’s wonderful.  I am blessed to have you. Let us begin our wonderful journey.

I have been asked many time on why did you uproot your life to move to Costa Rica for a job.  However, I didn’t move to Costa Rica for a job.  I had a job in Kansas with the company that currently employs me.  I moved to Costa Rica because I get to live in Costa Rica.

It is an experience that not many get to have.  I get to live in a different culture.  I get to meet new people.  I get to push my brain to learn new words.  I am getting more exercise than I ever got before and it is natural exercise because I walk everywhere.  I have to walk to work, grocery store and most places I want to visit.

All of this exercise has made me less big which should make my doctor happy.  It has relieved pressure off my legs and knees which had building with each pound I gained.  My clothes fit better instead of my girth pushing out every seam to its limit.

I am also new meat again at the age of 43.  I have met more men and been on more dates since moving to Costa Rica then I ever had in Kansas City.  I know that I will find my partner here in this beautiful country.

I didn’t move for a job.  That is silly.  I moved to do what I think every human on this planet is put here to do and that is to live life to its fullest.  Life is great!!!!

As most of you know, I am always on the search for my next and hopefully lifelong boyfriend, the man that I can call my partner and introduce to my son and my mother and the man that I can marry in front of family and friends.  So far, this man is allusive to me.  I know he is out there so I keep trying to make myself available.

Since moving to Costa Rica, I have joined Scruff, Grindr, XXL and many other dating applications.  No more can you go to clubs, your local LGBT community center, join an activist group or a men’s choir in hopes to find a man.  Everyone is plugged in and turned on.  They are trolling these sights for their man.

When filling out the profile, it asks what kind of relationship you want.  Do you want friends? Do you just want chat?  Are you looking for marriage or a just a swinging from the chandelier night of fun?  You can also choose all of them or variations of multiples.  I always choose dates, friends and long term relationship.

It has come to my attention that no one reads the profile.  Men being visual and barbaric.  Just look at the pictures and when they find out they like, they jump up and down pounding their chest screaming “Me Like”.   I know this for a fact because I sprang a knee doing it.

We immediately message this individual or send them a wink or a woof or whatever to get their attention.  I normally tell them that I liked their profile and I point something out in it so they can see I read it and didn’t just drool over their picture.  I always get a one word response like “Thanks” and I realize the person is not interested and move on.  This doesn’t annoy me.  I know they are trying to be nice to not hurt my feelings by not saying “Thanks and if you think you have chance with me, you are dumber than you look.”, which I have gotten before.

The types of responses I don’t like from these dating sites are rude ones.  I will give you some true life examples.  “You’re too big”, “Really?”, “ROFLMAO”, “Are you anyone’s type?”, “Not if you were the last species on Earth.”  A simple “Thanks” and no further contact would have sufficed.

The other thing that annoys me is when a guy tells me what he wants me to do to him or what he wants to do to me, in his opening greeting.  I will again give you some real life examples.  “Wanna Fuck”, Want to Suck You Off”, “I wanna tap your ass.”, “I could sop you up with a biscuit.” and my personal favorite, “ I want you to sit on my face with all of your weight.”

Of course, when I tell the above individuals, I am not into casual sex.  I get a barrage of hate responses.  Here’s some more examples.  “You think you can do better.”, “This site is just for casual sex.  Find a boyfriend elsewhere loser.”, “Relationships are lame.”, “Being gay is all about the casual sex.”  My response to them is that they are lame.

I don’t expect everyone to like me.  I don’t expect to like everyone because I really don’t unless I have had a lot to drink.  I do expect some respect.  I do expect some decency amongst fellow brethren.  I do expect some sense of self-worth more than just my dick size, what my ass or mouth can do and what position I am in bed.  My brethren really need to check their standards and priorities.  I have mine and theses douche bags don’t live up to them.

That’s pretty much all I got this week.  Until next time, May all your drinks be mixed well and heavily poured.

Got Lost in the Jungle for a little bit.

Hello all my sugar plums!!!!  How's life?  I am doing well.  It has been ages since I spoke to all of you.  How do you like the Header above I created?  I am playing with Photoshop.  I know I'm about a decade or two behind.

Enough of that for now, let's catch up.  New in my life is that I have moved to the beautiful country of Costa Rica.  I am loving the sites and the feel of this wonderful gem in Central America.  I took tha last few months off to absorb my surroundings and enjoy life.  Don't most shows go on hiatus during the summer any way.  However, I have not learned Spanish very well and my television options are limited to the say the least.  I felt it was time for my hiatus to end, since there is so much to discuss.

Hey leave me note telling me what you have been doing for the last two months. Here's a picture I got at a local Volcano National Park.  As you can see, I enjoy the natural beauty Costa Rica has to offer.

Where to begin?  Let's start with some entertainment news that is has either gotten me excited or annoyed me or did both.

June:

It was Pride month and it was my last post.  Macklemore and Ryan Lewis hit "Same Love" shot up the charts.  It lifted our spirits and gave us hope about the fight for equality.  The first time I heard the song I almost wrecked my car because I was sobbing so much.  Why was I crying?  It was the first time that a mainstream top 40 hit addressed the issue so boldly.  I praise and will forever be a fan of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.  As many of you know, I was kind of on the fence about getting married someday and now I look forward to it because I really see it as a goal now.   That is in a large part thanks to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

At the same time, Paris Jackson attempted suicide.  I really feel for this young lady.  It is hard enough to be Michael Jackson's daughter, but to have lost her father at such a young age, forced into the public eye and fought over by "loving" family members and then just being a teenage girl.  This is a mixture for disaster.  I hope she is getting the she needs.  I hope her brothers are doing well.  I also hope the rest of the family leave these kids and their grandmother alone.

Justin Bieber and crew kept up their antics throughout the the summer.  Just in June she attacked a photographer.  I wonder if it is because the photographer caught her kissing her boyfriend, Little Twist, which proves she's no longer a lesbian.

James Gandolfini died in Italy.  He was a great actor and he will be missed.

Kim "Whiner" Kardashian and Kanye "Bully" West named their daughter.  I am not much in making fun of children because kids need to be kids.  I just don't think Kim and Kanye were really thinking.  I want to believe Khloe said it as a joke and Kim and Kanye took her serious.  I just don't think they thought out North's life very well.  She can never be a girl scout because the whole troop will be confused when asked to find North.  However the name would be great for a Native American stripper, the stage name would be North Poledancer.  Seriously, I hope the child gets Kourtney's brains and Khloe's personality.  I wonder if Kris has talked to Disney JR about North's new television show.

George Lucas got married and my mother cried.  He was suppose to be my new step-father.

The US Supreme Court likes us....well kind of.  The Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled that married same-sex couples were entitled to federal benefits and, by declining to decide a case from California, effectively allowed same-sex marriages there. They did the safest ruling they could.  This has made the first paragraph even more attainable.  I better pick out my colors, flowers, get registered and find a husband.

Next week we will go through July.

I will no longer yell or try to correct Justin Bieber.  She's lost for right now and will come back to her senses when she realizes how much of douche bag she was been lately or when she dumps her boyfriend, Little Twist. I'm angry over celebrities that are ungrateful and whining children.  I hate whiners. I also am angry over celebrities that think they have to prove something to the world or explain something to the world.

I am obsessed with "The Wanted" like most of the teen girl and gay man population.   Gay guys are really happy with this band because they are very attractive and are kind of manly. Don't worry the lesbians have "One Direction" to keep them happy, which makes me wonder why Taylor Swift switched leagues for a moment instead of going for Max from "The Wanted" but I digress.

Since I live in Costa Rica, my television viewing is limited because I don't understand Spanish.  I need Diego Luna to come live with me for awhile, but I digress again.  Anyway, I get unlimited amounts of Criminal Minds, Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Wanted Life.  I have gotten to know Ryan Seacrest's bitches pretty well.  I have a favorite which is Tom.  My least favorite is Siva.  In fact, I have no idea what value he brings to the group.

He whines every time a decision has to be made.  He didn't want to go to Vegas because they weren't bringing their girlfriends.  Nareesha can just stay behind and spend the money he makes as long as he makes it,  because let's get real, he doesn't have a career after this gig is up. He then got his panties in a twist because the other guys wanted to have a BBQ at the house.  He and his girlfriend didn't want it to happen.  They felt they were being railroaded.  I guess she was scared that the girls would be gin to stalk them.  I am sure Siva has nothing to worry about.  They didn't like the house majority rules standard and my advise to them is stop being negative to every decision.

Is the show scripted?  I am sure it is.  If he wants to be the one portrayed as the dick of the group,  he's doing well. I would throw him out and bring in someone else if you really think you need someone.  He can leave with his exhausting needy girlfriend and his freakish jawline.

Next is Miley Cyrus on the VMA.  Are you kidding me?  Why did she feel like she needed to do this horrible disgusting performance?  Was she being funny, sexy, professional or entertaining?  The answer is no on every level.  The outfit was too tight and didn't flatter her ass.  In fact, I am not quite sure she has one.  I have plenty and could give her some.

Let's even go further with Pedophile Robin Thicke. His part wasn't much better.  His striped pimp suit and grinding behind Miley trying to twerk.  I guess you don't need common sense to be a celebrity.  Thanks for showing how little decency you actually have Robin Thicke.  As the older of the two, you should have seen this train wreck coming and stopped it.

Last but not least, Miley's mother just shut up.  There is no way you are proud of your daughter's performance.  The only mothers that would be proud of that would be Kris Jenner or Dina Lohan.  Are you either of those women?  If so, then I see why Billy Ray left.

My next irritation is who in their right mind gave Kris Jenner a talk show.  Are you smoking crack?  Did you get ran over by Justin Bieber and her Leopard car (the gayest car in existence)?  Did you get struck by lightning?  Do you have a brain tumor?  Are you a possessed by a demon? Did one of your split personalities take over again?

Gracias dios, the show was cancelled.  In six weeks, she proved how much of a lush she is which doesn't really bother me except according to rumors, she's a mean bitchy drunk.  I don't like that behavior.  She also proved how much she doesn't need to be in front of a camera at all.   Khloe deserves better.  I would watch Khloe's talk show.  Give her a show.  If she needs a cohost, I will do it as long as Mommy Dearest is not allowed on the set.

Now to wrap it up.  Here's the man I will marry.  Just as soon as he breaks up with the really cool blonde girl he's dating.  I like his sense of humor and edginess.  Tom Parker is just simply bad hot.

May all your drinks be mixed well and heavily poured.

Big, Tall Glass of Chocolate Milk, plus Some Resurrected Favorites

The Big Gay Jay Show

Hey all!!!  What a week it has been.  We’ve had to show resurrected, a long awaited movie sequel premiered and the first professional active American League major sports figure has come out of the closet.

Let’s begin by Shining the Rainbow on none other than Jason Collins.  What a break this was for all those LGBT athletes out there.  Ten years ago this would have been ludicrous.  Wow, I am almost speechless.  It is amazing and gives hopes to the sporty types and definitely shows that some of LGBT got game.

Jason Collins is 34 years old.  He’s 7 ft tall and 255 lbs.  He’s a tall cup of steaming Mocha Latte and I just want to drink him up.  He is a twin and both brothers have played for the NBA.  Jason is currently a Washington Wizard Center.

It is very brave for someone to come out while in the sports arena which has always been viewed as homophobic and inflexible.  Rumor has it that he came out because after the bombing in Boston, he realized life is short and life isn’t worth living, if he can’t live to its fullest extent.  I must agree with that logic.

I think it is great and I am proud of him.  He did receive a phone call from President Obama to congratulate him on his truth.  No president called me, but I digress.  However, Jason Collins does add thanks to all of us who came out before him and especially to a slew of Athletes that have made that decision too.  Below is a short list.

  • John Amaechi – Basketball
  • Billy Bean – Baseball
  • Billie Jean King – Tennis
  • Rudy Galindo – Figure Skating
  • Matthew Mitcham – Diving
  • Martina Navratilova – Tennis
  • Blake Skjellerup – Speed Skating
  • Greg Louganis – Diving
  • Gareth Thomas – Rugby
  • Robbie Rogers – Soccer
  • Anton Hysen – Soccer
  • Many, many more

Again congrats Jason Collins!!!!  In case you are wondering Mr. Collins, I am gay and single.  I am little older than you, but I do like sports and sure the Washington Wizards are my new favorite team.  I’m also low maintenance.  As long as I can travel the world to see cool things and my mom and son will never need to worry, I am yours forever.  Just think about it and get back to me.

Quick Review:

From the ashes Hulu and Prospect Park have resurrected, All My Children and One Life to Live.  New shows began airing on Hulu on Monday 04/29.  Both shows have some real merit and I think will be fabulous.  Give them a try and you can see them anytime day or night.

On All My Children, you need to watch out for Eric Nelson, Denyse Tontz and Robert Scott Wilson who play AJ, Miranda and Pete respectively.  They are the newest members to this cast.  They are challenged with bringing in younger viewers and I believe they will get the job done.  They are fun to watch and have some really good skills.  Plus all three are not bad to looking either.

However, All My Children is missing fan favorites like Susan Lucci and Michael E Knight.  I hope they come on the show to at least give the new show some support and tie up some loss ends.  Until then, you have Vincent Irizarry, Cady McClain, Jill Larson, David Canary, Julia Barr, Darnell Williams, Debbi Morgan and Thorsten Kaye to keep you company.

On One Life to Live, they have brought back many favorites Erika Slezak, Hillary B Smith, Robin Strasser, Kassie De Paiva, Tuc Watkins and many many more.  They have large cast, but have lost their Hispanic Vega Family.  Jessica and Rex are also both MIA.

Hold the phone is that a High School Musical alum.  Why yes it is.  Cute, sexy and talented, Corbin Bleu has joined the cast of One Life to Live.  He is joined by Robert Gorrie, who plays a good looking Matthew Buchanan, and Laura Herrier, who plays a very sleek and sexy Destiny Evans.  The three join 4 year veteran Kelley Missal, who plays the incomparable Danielle Manning, for the younger demographics.

I see Danielle Manning (Kelley Missal)  taking over this show.  Her character is the most interesting and the wild child.  In four episodes she has already OD’d and her “dad” has come back from the dead.  I can't wait to see what the writers have in store for this star.

That is the last thing I will speak about the new shows.  They are on a faster pace than what you knew before.  If you blink, you may miss how the storyline evolves and grows.  I recommend not missing a minute.  How can you, since you can watch it anytime?

Iron Man 3…..Simply the best. Don’t believe me.  Ask anyone.  The storyline is awesome.  The special effects are cool.  The acting is spot on.  Robert Downey JR.  is Tony Stark.  Guy Pearce was fantastic and Ben Kingsley was perfect.

There you have it.  Until next week, May all your drinks be mixed well and heavily poured.
